There was certainly no summer doldrums in readership in August. Driven by a record-breaking month at two of our sites, the newly redesigned and expanded TheMarySue.com welcomed over 2.5 million unique visitors and Styleite.com with its new focus as a younger, more alternative style and fashion site, 1.5M uniques.
With 5.8 million unique visitors, our flagship Mediaite.com also had one of its largest numbers of visits to the site itself (separate from syndicated content). Despite shedding a couple of sites from the network numbers (one to a sale), we still welcomed well over 10 million unique visitors! Overall, our growth has been driven by our increasing footprint
and reader engagement in social, which was responsible for 40% of our overall traffic in August.
